Requiem for Justice - LIVE IN MEXICO!

27 to 30 October 2022 - Centro Cultural del Bosque INBAL - Colegio de San Ildefonso

This year, Landscapes of Hope , launched by Action For Hope العمل للأمل, is organizing its annual international rally of artists and writers for Social Justice live in Mexico City.

Requiem for Justice is an attempt by a civil society network to manifest the role that art plays to protest against injustice, to reflect upon and analyze human shortcomings in the face of today’s challenges, and to imagine a better future. The event brings together around sixty artists, poets, novelists, academics and activists from over 15 countries whose work covers diverse topics and genres. The four days of the event will include discussions, concerts, theater performances, talks, exhibitions, film screenings, poetry recitals, and even a cooking show!

The event is a moment to celebrate survival, to connect with wider circles and to explore what is possible--and more importantly, what is impossible but important to try and reach.

Censorship in art, Artistic freedom, Art censorship, Freedom of expression

I work carefully and imperceptibly below the surface when it comes to freedom of artistic expression. Deep down I stand by those who want to break it but remind them of realities above the surface. At the same time, the water becomes shallower. This is my duty as a producer.
